Alamance County

The Huggins Law Firm is proud to represent legal clients throughout Central North Carolina including Guilford, Randolph, Alamance, and Forsyth counties with a strong presence in Greensboro and High Point, NC.

Alamance County was named after Great Alamance Creek, site of the Battle of Alamance, a pre-Revolutionary War battle in which militia under the command of Governor William Tryon crushed the Regulator movement. Formed in 1849, Alamance County has a rich history as well as being the site of the development of textile manufacturing and agriculture in North Carolina. Though Graham is the county seat, Burlington is the city that most people associate with Alamance county as it is the largest and most populous with almost 50,000 residents. In addition to being the county that Burlington is located, Alamance’s other claim to fame is that is is home the the esteemed Elon University, a small private Division I school. Today, Alamance County is often described as a “bedroom” community, with many residents living in the county and working elsewhere due to low tax rates, although the county is still a major player in the textile and manufacturing industries. The Huggins Law Firm is happy to provide representation to anyone living throughout Alamance county in any legal matter, though we primarily handle Traffic cases, Criminal cases, and Personal Injury.
