About Attorney Blinn Cushman
Attorney Blinn Cushman’s primary areas of practice are Criminal Law and Personal Injury Law. Outside of these areas, he has handled matters involving real estate disputes, employment law on both the employer and employee side, the recovery of personal property, and collecting money owed to his clients. He intends to expand his practice into the area of Aviation Law, representing certificate holders involved in FAA enforcement actions.
He enjoys working for and with his clients to find the strengths and weaknesses in their cases, and to identify strategies that will help them attain their goals. He loves to learn about and employ new practice strategies, and has attended more than double the minimum Continuing Legal Education requirement each year that he has been in practice.
He has been licensed to practice in North Carolina since August 2015, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
Initially, he worked in Greensboro, then practiced in Rockingham County, North Carolina for one year before coming to Huggins Law Firm, P.C. in early August 2017.
He is an active member of the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the Greensboro Bar Association and the Guilford American Inn of Court. He is also a member of the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association. He is a member of the North Carolina Supreme Court’s inaugural 2016 Pro Bono Honor Society, and the Greensboro Bar Association’s 2016 Herb Falk Society, for his contribution of over 100 hours of Pro Bono services. Mr. Cushman is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation’s Development Committee, and is the Regional Captain of the Piedmont Triad for the North Carolina Advocates for Justice’s New Lawyer Division. He is also the Treasurer for the Greensboro Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Cushman is originally from New York City, where he was born and lived until he came to North Carolina to attend law school. From 2003 until 2016, he was a volunteer member of the New York City Police Department’s Auxiliary Police program. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2008, and in 2010 he was one of sixteen supervisors out of roughly 700 supervisors in a program of more than 4,500 members to be awarded Supervisor of the Year.
Mr. Cushman resides in Greensboro with his wife, Anna, who is an immigration attorney at Chapman Law Firm. He enjoys fly-fishing, and traveling to U.S. National Parks across the country.
